Inspiration

Many hospitals have a rising need for PPEs, but there are limited supply on the market. We want to connect health care providers and PPE suppliers directly on a platform to make resources allocation more efficient. The government agencies can also help monitor and coordinate the resource distrubution.

What it does

The platform has hospitals enter the information for the PPE they need and suppliers enter information on the PPE that they have. Both hospitals and suppliers can see the supply and demand of the PPE and hospitals can choose products accordingly. Government agencies will also be able to monitor the PPE supply and demand. This platform helps make the PPE market efficient!

How we built it

-We used ASP.NET core to build the REST API. -We used MongoDB for database. -We used Angular for the front-end web application. (Mask Information from 3M, Glove Information from Med Lab Supply)

Challenges we ran into

Using noSQL database and learning Angular for the first time!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully hosted the website on the public web and it stores data on the database! Angular web app, Web API, and database worked together!

What we learned

We learned how to work with noSQL database and Angular!

What's next for PPE Connect

Building an account system for each user! We also will work on finding the best place to store file uploads. We will also work on building the purchase feature to allow direct sales.
