Inspiration
The tools we had within our Arduino kits were the largest inspiration for this project.
What it does
The Arduino uses an RFID sensor in order to detect whether the key matches the encoder or not. If recognition fails the Arduino will alert the fake keyholder and take a snapshot, not only saving their photo but then using an API to detect how they're feeling based on their current expression.
How we built it
We used an Arduino wired to an RFID sensor on a breadboard, attached to that is an LED indicator for failure. It is then ported into the computer which will take a snapshot using a Logitech camera which will then be processed through the computer.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into predominantly coding issues, using an API as well as encoding the RFID in order to function properly.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
That we pipelined the process successfully and overall have a completed project close to what we initially envisioned.
What we learned
We learned a great deal about Arduino Code, Python, Google APIs, and RFID.
