The goal of the game is to find a planet at another star system to colonize at. You and your crew will set out to this wormhole that NASA has discovered. Once you enter the wormhole, the player will have to select a planet to go to but, choose wisely. The spacecraft that the player is on has a limited amount of fuel.
- Stage I Outdoors at the launch site: The user is emerged at the launch site that has the rocket in front of the player. The objective is to enter the elevator, using the walk keys/pad. The elevator detects the player; the player is lifted up; the player is shown a door, which the player should then walk through. The player will then walk through.
- Stage II Initial Checklist: The user will see a display nearby, on that display will have a liftoff checklist. The player will go through the checklist and once the checklist is completed; the rocket will be ready for takeoff. You will press a key to launch the rocket and the rocket will launch. The player can look around the cockpit and out of the window during the ascent.
- Stage III Orbit: Once the rocket has finished its ascent into space, the rocket will continue to burn until it has achieved orbit. The autopilot will disengage and the next objective will appear.
- Stage IV Docking: The rocket is in orbit around Earth, another objective will appear; you will need to dock this spacecraft. The checklist will update with the proper procedures for docking.
- Stage V Set Trajectory: Plot your trajectory to Saturn. Time will lapse to about 2 years, once the spacecraft enters the sphere of influence of Saturn.
- Stage VI Entering the wormhole:The spacecraft will enter the wormhole, once the spacecraft exits the wormhole, you’ll be in a whole new star system.
Stage VII Selecting a planet to go to: With a beacon by the wormhole, you are able to receive transmission back from Earth, but cannot send any back out. The beacon has information about all the planets in the star system. Up to the player to determine which planet to go to first
- Stage I Go to the planet that has been selected: Once the player has selected a planet to go to, the player must set a trajectory to the planet. When the spacecraft is in orbit, it is ready for landing.
- Stage II Landing at planet: You take a lander down to the planet. You will have to fly it all the way down to the planet and land it on the surface.
- Stage III Analyze planet: When the lander has landed on the planet, you are able to leave the lander and walk around on the planet’s surface. You analyze the planet to see if it is habitable for humans to colonize on.
- Stage IV Return to the spacecraft: After analyzing the planet, you leave the planet and return to the spacecraft that is orbiting the planet. You will have to fly the lander out of the atmosphere, into orbit and dock.
Stage VIII Determine which planet is best to colonize: After you have finished exploring the planets that you went to, you now have to determine which one is the best planet to colonize.
Stage IX Colonize the planet: After selecting the planet you want to colonize, you go to that planet once more. This will end the game and it will tell you if you picked the right planet to colonize or not.
