Inspiration
I like reading web novels but sometimes I want to consume this media even while I do other things like the dishes (hard to read at the same time). But the default TTS on modern browser have only one voice that read all the text without emotions which was unpleasant. So I took the opportunity of the ElevenLabs challenge to try to have each character have their own distinct voice and reading not read everything like the name of the character speaking.
What it does
It's an extension for internet browser (google chrome in my case for now). That make it easy to have to the text from the web page being read out loud naturally like one would normally do in its own head.
How we built it
I code it based on my experience with web app and AI API.
Challenges we ran into
I had to test if the voices were good enough to make worth it. Had to test different settings.
