As a university student, we usually do not have a full fridge of groceries to cook with. Therefore we must scavenge and try to make something out of what we have. We created a cool Alexa skill that helps with exactly that.

We used Node.js, lamda and AWS to create the Amazon Echo skill necessary for this function.
Challenges we ran into
None of us have ever used the Amazon Echo or AWS before so it was quite the challenge configuring it and making it work.
What's next for Recipe Builder
We would love to add more recipes based on the and allow the user to store food into it so the Echo can remember what food is available.
