Inspiration
Healthcare administrative friction turns simple refills into multi-day hurdles. We were inspired to see if autonomous AI agents could handle the "boring" clinical intake and logistics, letting doctors focus on care.
What it does
RenewRx is a voice-first agentic system. It conducts clinical intake via an empathetic voice interface, scrapes patient portals for medical history, and autonomously places pharmacy orders once a clinician provides approval.
How we built it
The core is Python/FastAPI. We used ElevenLabs for natural voice interaction, TinyFish and Yutori for web automation, and Tonic Fabricate to generate HIPAA-compliant synthetic data. Macroscope provides deep engineering observability.
Challenges we ran into
Syncing high-latency voice responses with real-time browser agents required complex state management. Ensuring 100% data integrity across disjointed clinical systems was our primary technical hurdle.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Successfully bridging the gap between natural conversation and deterministic web automation. We built a system where an AI can "talk" its way into a pharmacy checkout.
What we learned
We learned that synthetic data is more than a testing tool—it’s a foundational accelerator for building privacy-first healthcare applications.
What's next for RenewRX
Integration with live EHR systems and expanding the agents to perform multi-pharmacy price optimization for patients.
