Inspiration

Individuals' desire to launch their own product/services into the market is frequently crushed due to a lack of savings/capital required, resulting in plenty of problems for early-stage inexperienced learned entrepreneurs in the country, who frequently lack a strong network to financially support them. The problem is complicated by the fact that only venture capitalists invest in early-stage startups and businesses, leaving the general public with an interest in investing and possessing money.

What it does

RoundVenture collects personal and Venture information from users including the venture name, category, target, valuation, and description. After the user is done filling in all the details it looks for capital from the investors who are interested in the same category and are willing to invest. After which, the investors can invest money greater than a threshold limit and are given equity based on their investments. After raising a certain amount it gets updated in the system and when enough investments are done and the users reach the target value, the system notifies it and thus removes it from the openly available lists.

How we built it

We built the application using HTML/CSS/EJS along with using CockroachDB.

Challenges we ran into

We had trouble integrating the front-end with node js to receive the updates every single time the investments are made.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're glad that we were able to find a solution to such an urgent issue and that we were able to help folks who are seeking to start their own business and find relief from the conventional procedure of taking loans from banks with high interests.
