Inspiration

Our team originally started with the idea when we noticed that stock trading was very technical with all of the terminologies, data, and constant changes in the stock market.

What it does

When we looked closer at the problem, we realized that the whole process can be achieved through a simple app which would upload real time data for the stocks, have a StockBot to aid the investor in the process, and also a user oriented website to support the entire system.

How I built it

To build the project, our team used Javascript, JQuery and Python for the back end development of all the functions, and we used HTML and CSS for our front end development of the website. After 24 hours, chugging soylents, stocking up on swag, and coding our hearts content away, our team finally finished the project, and some members only took a 2 hour nap!

Challenges we ran into

Some of the challenges that we ran into was the integration of back end to front end, as we had not enough experience building it, however, with mentor aid, and also many internet searches, our team was able to pull through and finally create the program.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Accomplishments that we we, as a team, are proud of, is utilizing a bootstrap template to finalize the front end, utilizing a template for our first time, and also completing the project.

What's next for Simple Stock

For future developments, this project will be finishing and polishing our code for the program, and further developing a more comprehensive back end which will allow the user to engage in so much more activities on the program.
