Inspiration

It was during my own challenging journey through university that I first conceived the idea for SimpliUni. Overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information, deadlines, and tasks that piled up each semester, I realized there had to be a better way to streamline and simplify the university experience. This realization ignited a spark within me, and I set out on a mission to create a solution that would revolutionize the way students navigate their academic lives.

What it does

SimpliUni is a groundbreaking platform that simplifies and enhances the university experience for students. It leverages the power of Coda AI to provide personalized recommendations, streamline course selection, facilitate study planning, and offer a wealth of resources and information. SimpliUni's intelligent recommendation engine analyzes user preferences, study patterns, and academic goals to deliver tailored suggestions for courses, study materials, and extracurricular activities. With its user-friendly interface and continuous learning capabilities, SimpliUni empowers students to navigate their academic journeys with confidence and efficiency.

How we built it

To build SimpliUni, we began by gathering data from university websites, syllabi, academic calendars, and student forums. This extensive collection of information formed the foundation of the knowledge base that powers SimpliUni's capabilities. Using Coda AI's natural language processing capabilities, we structured and organized the data, ensuring it could be easily accessed and understood by the system.

Next, we developed a user-friendly interface for SimpliUni. Leveraging Coda AI's customizable templates and user interface components, we designed an intuitive and visually appealing interface that allows students to easily navigate and interact with the platform.

The core intelligence of SimpliUni lies in its recommendation engine. Using Coda AI's machine learning capabilities, we trained the system to understand individual student preferences, study patterns, and academic goals. This enables SimpliUni to provide personalized recommendations that adapt and improve over time as students interact with the platform.

Challenges we ran into

Building SimpliUni presented several challenges along the way. One major hurdle was acquiring and structuring the vast amount of data required to create a comprehensive knowledge base. Ensuring the accuracy and relevancy of the information was a meticulous and ongoing process, requiring continuous updates and adjustments as universities modified their curricula and policies.

Training the recommendation engine to provide accurate and relevant suggestions was also a challenge.
