This project is to create a website that can scan and item such as a fruit, vegetable or something edible. Which then will tell you what you have along with a linked recipe.
What it does: image recognize the fruit/vegetable and come up with recipes for it
How we built it: using multiple sources on javascript my team split up the work between back-end and front-end and we focused on making them functional. It involved figuring out the camera and then the server, then figuring out what and how the image recognition worked.
Challenges we ran into: the API for the image recognition software wasn't working
Accomplishments that we're proud of: making the website and getting the camera to work.
What we learned: how to work with front-end/back-end along with how GitHub works
What's next for Snap Chef: Improve user interface, Improve image recognition logic.
