Inspiration
We realized that to go to the doctor, it takes months just for a checkup. We decided to make an easy way for teens to check in with their health and take action.
What it does
We made a health assistant that asks you how you feel, and then asks further questions. It can give you a checkup, and can also check your symptoms and try to diagnose you with the information that the user has provided.
How we built it
We used replit.com to work together to make the python code. We then used a HTML converter, and converted the python code to HTML code. From their, we added extra edits to give the user the cleanest and best experience.
Challenges we ran into
The conversion had multiple hiccups which we had to fix manually. We had some issues with HTML syntax, but we were able to watch tutorials to figure them out. Also, when writing the python code, we realized some of our math in calculating BMR and BMI were incorrect, so we had to correct that.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Some accomplishments were completing the python code, and seeing the end result successful. We were also able to create a button to optimize the user's experience.
What we learned
We learned how to troubleshoot and work together in a group. We also learned a lot about both mental and physical illnesses commonly found in teens, their symptoms, and how they can be treated.
What's next for Soul Diagnose
We want to add on to it, so eventually it will look much cleaner, have a larger database filled with more diseases, symptoms, and treatments, and give the user a more personalized experience.
