Consider yourself at a party, in a car on a road trip, or in a group listening to a jambox. Our system allows a host device, where a playlist is being used, to receive votes (to skip the song) via SMS, and if the number of votes represents a majority for the party size, then it skips to the next song. This was a simple design inspired by the car trip down from Tallahassee; we wanted to avoid the awkward "what kind of music do you like?" or "are you okay with this song?" conversations.
