I was inspired to create a game because I’ve always loved the feeling of competition and creativity that games bring. I wanted to make something that wasn’t just fun to play, but also felt different — fast, chaotic, and exciting. That’s where the idea for Hyperball came from: a high-energy, 3v3 space-themed game where the goal isn’t just to score points, but to shatter the other team’s glass before they shatter yours.
When I first started, I didn’t know all the ins and outs of game development. I had to learn step by step — from building the mechanics, to designing the environment, to making sure the game felt smooth and balanced. I spent a lot of time experimenting, testing, and sometimes breaking things just to figure out how they worked.
One of the biggest challenges I faced was balancing gameplay. I wanted Hyperball to feel fast-paced and hype, but also fair. At first, the matches either ended way too quickly or dragged on too long. Finding that perfect balance of speed, tension, and fun took a lot of trial and error. Another challenge was just staying motivated — as a new developer, there were moments I felt stuck or overwhelmed. But every time I saw the game come to life, it gave me the energy to keep going.
Building this game taught me that you don’t need to be an expert to start — you just need the courage to try, the patience to learn, and the passion to finish what you started. Hyperball is just the beginning for me, and I’m excited to keep building, experimenting, and growing as a developer.
