Inspiration
Came from not getting good randomization in my songs :( Every shuffle feature replays the same set of songs and we always noticed that there are songs that never get played.
What it does
It is supposed to randomize the playlist manually as well as show your stats and have an artist lookup. You can also play a song from the terminal after looking the artist up.
How I built it
We used Python as well as SpotiPy API.
Challenges I ran into
Some challenges that we went through was that we did not have enough experience with the Spotify API. We ran into a lot of challenges with coding and understanding the document that explained the API.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Being able to start and learn so much about using APIs along with Python. Being able to work on a project together, whether we were able to finish it or not, is an accomplishment in and of itself.
What I learned
We learned that we needed better time management as well as a lot of pythons and its approach with APIs.
What's next for SpotiHelper
We hope to finish the project within the upcoming weeks!!!
