Stikit is a collaboration tool that utilizes the Chromecast to allow quick sharing and organization of ideas. The application was framed with sticky notes as an inspiration; Cork boards filled with sticky note reminders are a simple, easy and fairly ad hoc way of organizing information. With that in mind we thought it would be really damned cool to bring that experience of writing a sticky note, ripping it off its block, and sticking it to a wall to the digital era.

Our app was designed with meetings and the individual in mind. At its very base our app allows you to write a note, and then fling it to the Chromecast display to share with others around you, or just to put it in front of you in a larger format. This experience can be shared with everyone in the room due to the Chromecast's ability to accept multiple connections. Being able to engage everyone in a room becomes trivial.

We also are exploiting the Chromecast's highly portable nature. Due to its small form factor and requirement for use only being a WiFi network, you can bring it with you on trips of all sorts. For the traveling business professional being able to have a large, quick to setup virtual cork board is a nice convenience to have. Planning out your day in a big way becomes simple.

So, through meshing the Chromecast's best aspects with the power of an Android application and a bit of ingenuity we get Stickit, a collaborative tool that really sticks out.
