I am driving a vehicle on the road. If I see anything that is violating the law like - Hit and run, rash driving, polluting the environment, drink and drive and lot more. Generally we ignore lot of these instances and just go away with our daily work. Nobody cares to report it to a Traffic Police. We provide a faster and easier way to eradicate the crime from the streets.

This StreetCop here is what we can call rather a prototype of what we actually visualized while on paper. StreetCop as a webapp may lack the effectiveness that we wanted to bring in the actual application. Its future scope would be an andriod application which we think we would not have been able to complete to its entirety in those 24 hrs of Hachathon. Gist of it is suppose there are a few traffic checkpoints ahead and you spot a traffic law violation or a vehicular crime, you post it on StreetCop, on the other side the traffic authorities getting the feeds of this immediately get the detail of the incidence and the location (through maps api), can immediately take actions required immediately. Also adding image processing and text detection can take it to a very realistic level. We visualize it to be a a pair of eyes for the authorities on the roads which they might not be able to constantly keep a track of.
