Wanted to win SendGrid API prize (prize was announced with ~6 hours left in the hackathon)
How it works
Using SendGrid, I collect the emails going to a certain domain, shorten them and send them to my phone number. I can then reply to the text message and an email will be sent to the person who emailed me.
Challenges I ran into
Ngrok being blocked made it hard for me to present my project and to debug it. n
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Worked on a project totally in python -- something I've never done.
What I learned
I learned basic flask development.
What's next for SumText
Make it easier to use for everyone -- right now it is only set up for me to use but I would like to see this tech on a much larger scale so that communication could be much more efficient.
