Supercards

Motivation

Flashcards are the king of memorization, possibly the most-used studying tool for high schoolers. However, common flashcard applications like Quizlet are extremely simple. Enter Supercards, a more powerful and customizable flashcard app.

Review

A minimalist review system that allows you to mark cards as correct to dismiss them, or mark them as incorrect to review later.

Add Cards, Decks, and Templates

Make new card decks and flashcards to create an organized review system. Create custom card types with as many fields as you need, and use the same information for multiple flashcards in different arrangements by customizing templates to fit your own needs.

Edit HTML Templates

Each Supercard uses an Mustache template, which users can customize. This means users can add HTML code or CSS styling to their card templates, giving them ultimate control over the appearance of their flashcards.

Cloud storage

All your data is stored in Cloud Firestore for easy syncing. Sign in with your email to access your data.

How we built it

Good old fashioned HTML, CSS, and vanilla JS, with Mustache templating to handle custom cards, and Firebase for authentication and storage.

What's next for Supercards

A feature I really wanted to add was the ability to publish decks, card types, and templates, so anyone could use them. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to implement this.
