Inspiration

Recording realistic sounding midi drums is near impossible in a budget.

What it does

Taply smart drum sticks lets you naturally play drums in the air to generate midi drums.

How we built it

Using Arduino, bluetooth, and motion sensor technology, we discriminate between movements of your drum sticks.

Challenges we ran into

Bluetooth is HARD! We ended up using Node.js and a library, but still very tricky to use.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Putting it all together! We had a vision a while ago, but it feels awesome to put it all together
