Time Based File System for Digital Content LifeLogging

Inspiration

I want to do digital content life logging, needed some thing to manage the new digital information: web, wearables (life logging) and IoT.

What it does

This system is about tracking and displaying extended metadata and using them to manage files and file associations along multiple timelines. It uses patent pending technology to structure unstructured data. store data as pre-sorted data along the time lines to improve performance. It is backward compatible to the hierarchical file system and file management systems. It can bring robust management features to unstructured new data.

How I built it

I am taking a online CS python class offered by MIT. Trying to build some simple elements to prove concept. It is like writing a novel using a dictionary.

Challenges I ran into

Most of the people don't understand it and few don't care. (almost) Everyone thinks it is too difficult to build.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Learned from scratch to develop the technology. Learned to program so I can prove the concept is doable. I learned a lot na dam doing well in the class (>80% is a A, I should be close to 95% so far).

What I learned

divide and conquer. learn to break problems down to manageable pieces then do one at a time.

What's next for Time Based File System

Keep building it. Once it is built, it will disrupt. My goal is to do digital content life logging, meaning building context around content using extended metadata. It can also be a SaaS even for health data.

My first step is build a visual bookmark manager to prove concept.
