Toolivery – Uber for Construction Tools
🚀 Inspiration
We were inspired by the convenience of Uber and wanted to bring the same on-demand experience to construction tools. Instead of making multiple trips to hardware stores, users should be able to order tools effortlessly and get them delivered when needed.
🛠️ What It Does
Toolivery lets users order construction tools just like any other product, providing a seamless, efficient, and hassle-free shopping experience.
⚙️ How We Built It
- Frontend: Built using React, offering an interactive chat option for intuitive user interaction.
- Backend: Developed with FastAPI to handle cart management and order processing efficiently.
- LLM Integration: Leveraged AI-powered NLP to enhance the chat experience, helping users place orders effortlessly.
🚧 Challenges We Ran Into
🔴 Technical Errors: Encountered CORS issues that required debugging.
🔴 Platform Dilemma: Debated whether to build an app or a web platform, considering accessibility and user reach.
🏆 Accomplishments
✅ Successfully integrated NLP-based AI into the chat, making the ordering process more intelligent and user-friendly.
📚 What We Learned
