Inspiration 🦾
lot’s of my friends don’t know how to use graphic designing tools and most of the time I helped them to create their banners, posters, etc. Because of that I just though if I can develop a web app, mobile app it will be really useful for people like them(and also for me😁).
What it does 🚠
Tourney cal is a web application which is fallen under the theme of Entertainment where people can invite people to their virtual events through virtual invitations by providing some data about their event.
How we built it 😎🧠
First I just designed the necessary routes, database fields like things. Then I built this web application using Node.Js, Express.Js, MongoDB, PUG and CSS according to the MVC architecture.
Challenges we ran into ❤❤
The most difficult problem I had was how to funnel the users token through different routes. But finally I was able to overcome that problem by adding forms to every page with hidden input having the value of user’s token.
Accomplishments that we're proud of 🎾🎯
Since, this is my first Node.Js project, it was a really tough one for me. But at the end of the I was able to build a 100% working web application which helps people to make invitations for free and easily.
What I learned 👩💻👩💻
This was a great experience for me. At the end of the day I was able to touch some different fields which I never touched before
What's next for Tourney Cal 👨🏭👨🏭
So, I'm planning to separate the app to front end and a REST API and build a mobile app with the help of flutter and the REST API.
