Inspiration

We noticed that every time we wanted to park in Waterloo, we always had a hard time parking. From our experiences and our peers, we all have been hit by a hefty parking ticket.

What it does

This web app works to find parking spaces and give a prediction on what streets/parking lots are most safe from receiving a parking ticket. It also gives you seasonal/reason to why the spot is risky or safe.

How we built it

We built this app with Next and a Python backend.

Challenges we ran into

Our first problem was parsing through the data. Waterloo has many datasets on parking infractions but we also needed to group it and analyze which streets associated with the infractions are more severe.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We accomplished a new high of caffeine addiction.

What we learned

We learned that AI isn't the best at coding at times and will give you the wrong solutions to all of your problems (especially when you don't read over some of the code).
