Inspiration
TRYBE was born from the idea that discovering new interests should be easy, engaging, and social. Inspired by meetup platforms, our goal is to connect people with shared passions in their local communities, bringing together individuals who might not have crossed paths otherwise and providing helpful and engaging advice on how to approach a new hobby.
What it does
TRYBE introduces users to new hobbies and interests while providing guidance on how to get started. As users engage with content, they earn rewards, making exploration both fun and motivating. Whether it’s trying out a new skill, attending local events, or simply learning something new, TRYBE creates a bridge between the curiosity and action.
How we built it
The platform was developed using HTML, Bootstrap, CSS, JavaScript, and React, focusing on an intuitive user experience and navigation.
Challenges we ran into
One of the biggest challenges was refining our broad concept into something clear and impactful. We also explored ethical and technical questions, how to best communicate learning opportunities, the democratic implications of fintech-driven reward systems, and the larger message our service conveys to users.

Our next step is expanding TRYBE’s functionality and refining the user experience. We plan to develop a mobile app to better reach our target audience, ensuring that discovering new passions and meeting like-minded people is just a tap away.
