Inspiration
Inspired by the idea of having to bring communities in under-developed countries through the power of social media to drive impact
What it does
It's similar to PeerTube where creators can make videos of their community services, in order to craft a sense of genuine connection with people globally. This allows for the opportunity to pull in huge donations from people "well off" financially, by giving them evidence of the happening impact.
How we built it
Node JS, HTML, CSS, Javascript and Google Cloud.
Challenges we ran into
It took us a good time and research to figure out how to upload the videos. Developing an attractive UI was time-consuming.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We learnt about new concepts like Fediverse, ActivityPub and the networking opportunities that we got during the event along with the amazing workshops. Crafting a possibly revolutionary idea, when it comes to the evolution of social media as a platform.
What we learned
We learned how to integrate the backend and frontend parts of a program, the impact and power of computer science and how a good understanding of societal problems can be solved with it.
What's next for TWTnetwork
We see prospects for growth in terms of e-commerce, micro-influencing and fostering community building in the long run.
