Inspiration
We got the inspiration from Uber idea of outsourcing by letting people help each other and providing reward for the helper.
What it does
The app allows the student in a campus to post a tutor request for a specific course to all other students who did or is currently studying in a course in order to receive help from them. Every student who successfully help a struggling student is grant a credit which they can be used for extra credits in class or get freebies in campus store.
How I built it
We built it using Flask with SqlAlchemy for the back end and Semantic -UI for the front end. We hosted the app on Heroku.
Challenges I ran into
I had some trouble with managing the database due to its complication.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We managed to implement a large backend and frontend system in a short time.
What I learned
We have learned how to use Semantic UI for styling, SqlAlchemy for database implemetation and publish a website.
What's next for Uber Teach
We plan to implement Capital One Api to allow user to give tips to the tutor for every successful help.
