Inspiration
Availability of move-in ready homes is a vast problem seen in large cities. To help make neighborhoods more sustainable and promote infrastructure we built UrbanUplift to make broken down houses livable again for families.
What it does
UrbanUplift brings together the community of construction workers, builders, contractors, and citizens together to help fund and renovate old homes into livable spaces for families to use.
How we built it
We used Flask, HTML, & CSS to create the framework and features of the application.
What we learned
Throughout the process of this project we learned various factors of renovations and city projects and learned that there are various states who have attempted to build a program similar to ours but had a hard time organizing volunteers. This was apart of UrbanUplift's inspiration to bring a community together to rebuild these houses.
What's next for UrbanUplift
In the future, we plan to have a working account system, management for specific houses, and a whole functioning application that will be backed by city governments to promote the renovations of houses.
