Inspiration
Why are cooking surfaces still simple pieces of wood? We use many additional tools, for no apparent reason, wouldn't it be great to use less scales and upgrade any table?
What it does
Simple tap-controlled kitchen scale with integrated recipe book. Can be easily cleaned. Maximum support, but still do the cooking!
How we built it
The MQTT-IoT-service infrastructure allowed us to split the project into disjoint parts. We built our own sensors by casting pressure sensors into silicon, created a machine-learning algorithm that recognizes taps and weighs at the same time and use a lot of LEDs.
Challenges we ran into
Nerf gun fights are just so distracting. Burning Microcontroller in the last second is medium fun.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
integration of a very complex setup, many parts, materials, techniques and technologies.
What we learned
MQTT is awesome. Sleep is overrated. Edisons are amazing. One weekend sufices to build a complex product.
