Inspiration

Quarantine was a very hard time for dating and relationships, especially for those who wanted to keep safe during the pandemic and avoid going out. This app aims to help people find new friends and potential partners while keeping them safe. Only verified vaccinated users can access the app so it promotes safety and social responsibility.

What it does

When creating an account, users must submit photographic proof that they have been vaccinated. They then submit their user information and input preferences based on what kind of person they are looking for. They answer quarantine and persona-related questions The app lets you set up your profile with a bio and interests. There is also a messaging system in place to chat with other users. The app divides its options between dating profiles and friendship profiles, so while they are functionally similar, they serve different purposes. Clicking on a person’s profiles lets you message them with the option to video chat as well.

How we built it

We use Figma to create a wireframe of the app in order to model the functionality without code. The logo was created and edited on Microsoft Word.

Challenges we ran into

The toughest challenge was figuring out a way to verify vaccinated users on the app. Since verification of users is often a complicated issue on other dating apps, we needed to use photographic evidence of users’ vaccine records as the only certain way to check for vaccinations since health and safety was the utmost priority.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to have created our own spin on a very popular type of app by tailoring the experience towards users living through quarantine and the pandemic. It is both timely and functional.
