Inspiration
We wanted to make a new way of message delivery way where the people can feel closer to each other even though they are not during these pandemic times and can feel a bit warm and fuzzy by watching their personalized hologramic messages
What it does
Our app makes hologramic video messages for people so that they can send these special type of message to each other and can feel special, a person can easily record a video and can convert it to a hologramic form and even can use existing youtube videos for making holograms videos out of them
How we built it
We made it using unity game engine and arfoundation
Challenges we ran into
implementing chroma key shaders and background blur while using augmented reality was a bit tricky to implement
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to complete the project and it turned out to be a nice working model which delivers a very nice job
What we learned
We learned a lot about shader graphs and how the different software work
What's next for ValenGram
we are planning to integrate this feature to a live video calling system so that the holograms are the people talking themselves in real time
