Inspiration

The typical "Vulcan salute" in Star Trek consists of raising the right hand, with all fingers together except the middle and ring fingers spaced apart. This gesture is accompanied by the phrase "Live long and prosper". The phrase "live long and prosper" has become iconic in popular culture and is often associated with Mr. Spock, the Vulcan character played by Leonard Nimoy in the original Star Trek series. This expression reflects the Vulcans' aspiration for a long and prosperous life, in line with the values of their culture based on rationality and the search for peace. Vulcans are depicted as an advanced and technologically advanced society, with a strong emphasis on learning, science, and exploration. Their code of ethics, which includes the concept of "Idic" (Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combination), promotes tolerance and understanding of cultural differences. Vulcan culture is based on logic and reason. According to Vulcan philosophy, the most logical thing to do in any situation is the one that turns out to be the most right and meets the ethical parameters of any culture. Vulcans categorically reject violence and respect all forms of life. However, this tendency pacifist is the result of a rational, logical choice. At a certain moment in his history, Vulcan realized that violence was harmful to his society and decided to eliminate it, along with other emotional behaviors. The Vulcan vision of the world can also be a good path to follow for humans seeking peace.

VULCAN-AI is an artificial intelligence based on the foundations of Vulcan logic and wants to help you face the world and help you think in the right way. It will help you discover that Vulcan part that is inside you and that needs to be encouraged to emerge.

VULCAN-AI was developed using Julep.ai Samanta-1-turbo technology.

Challenges we ran into

Finding the right background for VULCAN-AI required several refinements, but ultimately it was quite easy and fast, thanks to the interactivity of the interface provided by julep.ai

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm quite proud of how quickly VULCAN-AI can learn and respond to the Vulcan spirit, discovering that it is actually Vulcan through and through!

What we learned

I learned to model an AI quickly and easily, and it is also compatible with the openAI industry standard.

What's next for VULCAN-AI

The next steps for VULCAN-AI could be an increase in interactions and its promotion to verify its effective correspondence to the Vulcan spirit oriented towards peace and prosperity.
