Inspiration

How can we use the power of emerging technology (augmented reality and GPS tracking) to give plant managers unprecedented insight into the workings of their facilities?

What it does

Using an Android app and GPS streaming, keeps track of individual workers and goods within a warehouse facility. Projects a 3D model of the warehouse, populated with live-updating workers, onto a tabletop surface.

How we built it

Lots of blood, sweat, and artificial tears (not made in a facility that also processes sleep.) Big shoutout to Raj of Honeywell, we would have had no choice but to throw in the towel if it weren't for his vastly knowledgeable help.

Challenges we ran into

Integrating Vuforia, Hololens and Unity APIs; connecting a SQL database to an Android app and Unity; two computer meltdowns

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Building a working augmented reality app at our first hackathon (except for Wali, he's a veteran); coming together as a team; representing for the mechanical and aerospace department.
