Inspiration
Women are assaulted everyday, an ongoing problem that does not have any solution. As a frequent travelers we think it very important to ensure their safety, as a lot can tend to happen to those who travel alone.
What it does
WatchfulEye is an app that provides protection to women traveling alone. It gives a chosen guardian awareness of the safety of the solo traveller. As well as providing users with information about future destinations.
How we built it
Our team of dedicated engineers have worked on producing this fluoroelastomer band to provide a simple, and aesthetically pleasing addition to the app.
Challenges we ran into
Time constraints in regards to having only one coder.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It is a device that can save multiple woman from attacks, and because the GPS is in the band, a stolen phone wouldn't effect the guardian's ability to monitor the location of the user.
What we learned
How much our team could progress in regards to creating and developing an app given the time provided.
What's next for WatchfulEye
Actually manufacturing the band and deploying the app for both IOS and Android systems.
