Inspiration

My vision for Musive was driven by the immense potential of web5 to revolutionize the music industry. Decentralization, ownership, and security – these are the cornerstones of a brighter future for artists and listeners alike, and I wanted to be a part of building it.

What it does

With Musive, artists take full control of their music. Uploading is simple and secure, thanks to decentralized networks. Music and art are stored permanently on DWN, ensuring your creative work remains accessible and protected indefinitely. Listeners, on the other hand, can discover a vast ocean of independent music, free from the limitations of traditional platforms

How we built it

Musive's foundation rests on the cutting edge of web5 technology. Web5 authentication grants users complete control over their data, while DWN's decentralized storage guarantees the durability and security of every creative asset. Next.js, with its server-side rendering and dynamic capabilities, provides a seamless and efficient user experience on both the front-end and back-end.

Challenges we ran into

Delving into the world of web5 APIs presented its own set of challenges. Mastering the intricacies of decentralized authentication and data storage took considerable time and effort. However, these obstacles only fueled my determination to build a platform that leverages the true potential of this revolutionary technology

Learning on how to use and perform various web5 operations such as reading, writing, querying ,deleting and sharing data from the DWN. Not to forget DWN protocols configurations

What's next for Web5V

The journey doesn't end here. My vision for Musive extends beyond simply distributing music. I'm actively developing a web5-powered monetization algorithm that empowers artists to capture the true value of their work. Imagine micropayments seamlessly integrated into the listening experience, or innovative tokenization models that give fans a stake in their favorite artists' success.
