Inspiration

During covid, it's been very hard to talk to new people and connect with others. I'm sure we all know the feeling of being isolated and very lonely. We created this website so that others could find new people with similar interests, or potential romantic partners. While this is not world changing like curing cancer, it is an application that can allow others to find other people and share interests with them.

What it does

We built a website in which an organizer can receive data from users about their interests and preferences- so that they could find someone new to talk to. Whenever a user submits a form, a discord bot notifies the organizer of the new submission.

How we built it

We built this website and discord bot in html, css, and js. We used discord.js for the discord bot part of it!

Challenges we ran into

Challenges we ran into include properly organizing our fields so that all the options were responsive and looked good!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of creating a pretty website with a fun use!

What we learned

We learned how to connect websites and discord bots together, as well as a bunch of new html.

What's next for Wing man

We want to make wingman more accessible to others so that they can find more potential partners or others who share the same interests in this isolating and difficult time.
