Inspiration
We were inspired to create WriteOn because we believe that journaling is a powerful tool for personal growth and self-reflection, but it can be difficult to stick with the habit. We wanted to make it easier for people to consistently journal and get more value out of their reflections by leveraging the power of AI.
What it does
WriteOn is an AI-assisted journaling companion that helps you stay consistent with your daily journaling habit. It provides customized prompts and reminders to help you reflect on your goals in a meaningful way, and surfaces unique insights from your past reflections. It's an SMS-based chat app that takes the friction out of journaling, so you can easily incorporate it into your daily routine.
How we built it
We built WriteOn using a combination of natural language processing and machine learning techniques. We trained the AI on a large dataset of journal entries to understand how people reflect on their goals and surface insights from their past reflections. We also designed the app to be user-friendly and easy to use, with a simple chat interface and personalized prompts.
Challenges we ran into
One of the biggest challenges we faced was developing the AI to understand and respond to a wide range of journal entries. It was important for the AI to be able to understand the context and meaning behind each entry, so we had to carefully fine-tune the model to engineer more personalization.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of the fact that we were able to create an AI-powered journaling tool that is both effective and easy to use. We believe that WriteOn has the potential to help people unlock the full potential of their journaling and achieve their personal growth goals.
What we learned
Through the process of building WriteOn, we learned a lot about the challenges and opportunities involved in developing AI-powered personal growth tools. We also learned about the importance of user-centered design and the need to make sure that the app is easy to use and delivers value to the user.
What's next for WriteOn
We see a lot of potential for WriteOn to continue to evolve and improve over time. In the future, we hope to add more features and functionality to the app, such as the ability to track progress and set goals. We also plan to continue to fine-tune the AI to make it even more effective at helping people reflect and grow.
