Neighbourly Network

Inspiration

• We noticed how easy it is to feel disconnected from those living around us.
• Inspired by the idea of neighbors helping neighbors, we built a platform to make that easier in today’s digital world.

What it does

• Users can post tasks they need help with—like walking a dog or moving furniture.
• Others can browse and accept tasks, connecting people who need help with those who can lend a hand.

How we built it

Frontend: React.js , axios for API calls, and react-router-dom for page navigation. Backend & DB: Python Flask REST API, MongoDB Atlas with pymongo.

What's next for Neighbourly Network

• Add in-app messaging and user profiles with ratings to build trust.
• Feature where users can earn volunteer hours.
