Inspiration
A long night of coding with my friend, Tristan, and the realization that Git didn't help us much when we wanted to work on the same file at the same time.
How it works
Websockets and a CodeMirror instance in the main part of the page enable collaborative editing, and MongoDB stores the documents for each user.
Challenges I ran into
Getting collaboration to work was a big jump, considering that I'd never before used websockets.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Most of what I accomplished with Zarv was a pretty nice web GUI using heavily-customized Bootstrap CSS.
What's next for Zarv
Unfortunately, Zarv isn't currently operating past the landing pages. I simply didn't have time to make editing seamless enough for it to be a viable product.
