Isn't my baby cute!!!

I thought I should update Lucas picture since he is 8 months old. He is so much fun. He has started crawling but is only able to move backwards. He is such a joy in a life and keeping us busy.

Our Arrival

Lucas Elias Powell was born Monday 8:10 am 7 pounds 7 ounces and 20 inches. He is so wonderful and we are loving our new addition.

The advances of toys

Well if you didn't figure out with the baby tracker that I am pregnant. I have 5 weeks left. Yippee! My kindergarten kids are getting very excited. The other day I was trying to get the students to be quiet and was very serious until a girl that was standing by me started rubbing my tummy and saying " I like you baby." Well I decided that what I was saying was pointless because now all the students were looking at my stomach instead of listening to me. I love my students.

I am pretty amazed at the advances that toys have made since I was a kid. The other day I was talking to the other kindergarten teacher and some of my students came up with a plastic stethoscope. They put it on my stomach and looked at me with big eyes and said, "Mrs. Powell I just heard your babies heart beat. Then it continued with 4 or 5 more kids trying to hear the heart beat with the same shocked look. Man the doctors should get the name of that toy I am sure it is a lot cheaper then the machine they use in their office.

Baby Boy

Well, I feel a little quilty for not writing sooner. A lot of things have happened this year. I am almost done with my first year of teaching Kindergarten. I have loved teaching part time. Also we have a new addition soon to our family. We are expecting a little baby boy June 6th and we are really excited. Well all my blogs have to have a funny story so I thought I would tell you about teaching at the beginning of the year. I had a student bite another student and I sent that student to the office. When someone asked why they bit the other student. The students started crying and said that they were hungry. It was so funny after the fact and I still laugh about it.

A 1 1/2 weeks till Australia

Well we are getting excited we leave for Australia May 1st and will be there two weeks which I am sure will fly by fast. I got a job a few weeks ago. I am going to be teaching half day Kindergarten at Sharon Elementary in Orem and I am really excited. I graduate this Friday and can't believe that I am finally done with school. Anyway there is a quick update on what is happening in our lives.
