Handsome Boys!!

Just had to share some school pictures of the 2 most handsome boys I know! (I love the stiff poses and the cheesy grins :) not to mention the ever-present silly bands on Thomas' wrist)

I know, I know! I shouldn't scan pictures from Bell Photography...but they didn't give me a choice if I wanted to have these taken or not and they made my kids cry by sending home packets of pictures I never intended to buy (including their pictures on cool calendars, tags, and bookmarks) (seriously...$37 for the package and $16 per page...you're not that good Bell Photo) so I feel justified in copying the pictures to just show online...I won't print them to hang on my wall or display them in any way...but they were just too cute (albeit stiff and posed) to have thrown in the garbage with no memory of them :) (which is where they will go after my boys return them to their teachers today...I so don't understand that (vent over))

Spring Bling

Inspired by all those crafty blogs out there...I decided to do my own little makeover


I've had this Spring decoration for a couple of years and liked it, but didn't LOVE it. So instead of buying something else, I decided to try and spruce it up a bit.


But since I'm not a pro at this...I forgot to take a pic before I started the process...so the before isn't a true before :)

See...cute...but kinda blah

A little modge podge and a little superfine glitter and "Ta-Da" a new decoration...It's not exactly the colors I wanted, but it was the colors I had...and it still needs a little "sumpin-sumpin" but I'm not sure exactly what (which is why I am not a crafter) but I like it better and it is sparkly...and a girl (in a house full of boys) can never have too much glitter :)

But she can have too much dust...BLAH...if you click on the pic to enlarge it (which I recommend because the glitter is oh so shiner :) you'll see another rookie error...I forgot to dust the top of the armoire before taking pics...but to my defense...this is a really high armoire and I can't see the top of it unless I'm on a stool or reaching up to take a pic. sorry...I'll dust next time :)

Just Boys

I would say that 98% of the time I LOVE being a mom of boys...the only time I don't is when Easter dresses and Christmas dresses hit the stores and it tugs my heart strings a little that I don't get to shop for those, or prom dresses, or wedding dresses...but with boys like these...life is too sweet to be sad about that for more that just a few split seconds!!

I told Michael to show me how excited he was to earn his wolf and arrows...he was very excited :) and loves scouts!!

This is Thomas working on a big pile of homework...he had forgotten his folder at school the day before so he had LOTS to do...you'll notice that he has an icepack on his head...his brain was getting hot :)

Well, there really are no words needed to explain this one...Just to say that this shirt is PERFECT for him :) and yes he is full of that much mischief :)

I love being a mom of boys...especially THESE boys!! They are the BEST!!

and don't try to convice him they're turned the wrong way...he made us all try them and turned them around the "right" way for us :) (I think the first picture I took is the only time I've ever seen him use them the right way
