December 2020

As always December is our favorite month of the year! This year was no different. Our first Christmas in Wylie was a happy one - lots of new friends and traditions and Maddie was experiencing it all for the first time!

Congrats on all your hard work Lillie!

ISAAC TURNS 6! - We sure love this guy and we are so blessed that he is part of our family. He is such a smart cookie, loves being social more than ever and is totally rocking kindergarten! Every morning he says he doesn't want to go and by the time he's hopping out of the van he's high fiving teachers and friends as he walks through the door like he owns the place. He loves going to Six Flags and chose to go for his birthday. Lucky guy just barely gets the day off from school with Christmas break for his bday.

This peek-a-boo bear is from Gma and Gpa - The moment she saw she leaned in and gave it a hug - first time she's given anything a hug on unsolicited. We are all dying from the sweetness of it!

We surprised the kids with a New Years Eve trip!

Santa brought her a walker on the exact same day she learned to walk. Thanks for all the extra practice Lillie! Now we have to chase her down! M knows L will always teach her what she needs to know.

We have finally spotted the Beast's castle - unfortunately we didn't figure out how to get here until it was too late and all the parts of that park were closed :(

Day 2 - Animal Kingdom - This was super fun day. As I drive up to the park I'm always underwhelmed and wonder why we're coming. And then we get going and I remember it's got fantastic rides and it's always one of my favorite parks! We also met up with our next door neighbors the Pecorino's that happened to be traveling there at the same time. So much fun!

The Avatar land was the absolute coolest - especially at night. We waited in line 190 minutes TWICE to be able to ride the Avatar tide. Totally worth it! Side note - we kept waiting for Maddie to break down the entire trip - so far she is traveling like a little champ! Sleeping on the go and we love it!

Day 3 - Universal Studios - This was also New Years Eve. The park was absolutely jam packed and so unenjoyable. We really did love Harry Potter world and were so excited to be there. It was difficult to enjoy. Hard to move around and a huge wait to do anything. A lot of the rides required you to join a queue but they only opened up the queue once an hour an then it was full within seconds. Poor Grant wanted to ride the Hagrid ride so badly but you couldn't just get in line you HAD to join a queue. I went to ask a line attendant for some help. She asked about Grant and how many people needed to ride. She told me to hold on and then came back with tickets that let him go the the FRONT OF THE LINE! Her only requirement was that he come to meet her which he was more than thrilled to do!

We rang in New Years Eve in style - Tim and Lillie relaxing in the condo while Maddikins slept and the boys and I went to the pool.
What a crazy, busy, new family member adding, covid-y, moving, traveling, life changing year this has been.
There is not another family I would rather be growing, learning, and loving with. You six humans are my world and I am beyond grateful everyday for our little world of joy we have created!
Come join us next year for 2021!
