The SDDOT, in collaboration with the town of Dimock, will hold a public meeting open house from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. (CT) on Monday, June 29, 2026, at City Hall located at 505 S. Main St. in Dimock. The public meeting is designed to present key findings and draft recommendations for the Dimock Master Transportation Plan Study.
The public meeting open house will be informal, allowing for one-on-one discussions with the study team. A short presentation will be given at the beginning of the meeting.

The SDDOT, in collaboration with the town of Ethan, will hold a public meeting open house from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (CT) on Monday, June 29, 2026, at the Town Hall located at 218 W. Main St. in Ethan. The public meeting is designed to present key findings and draft recommendations for the Ethan Master Transportation Plan Study. The area being studied includes all roads, sidewalks, and other transportation related infrastructure within the city limits of Ethan and County Road 411th Avenue.

SDDOT Earns Performance Excellence Network (PEN) Excellence Award
The Performance Excellence Network (PEN), a regional Baldrige-based program serving South Dakota, North Dakota, and Minnesota, recently recognized 18 recipients across multiple organizations with 2025 Performance Excellence Awards at the annual conference. The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) was one of the recipients; and the only organization to earn the Excellence Award designation – the highest recognition level awarded by PEN.
