Genevieve's 9 month pictures

We bought a new camera so that we can take good pictures of our family. We're definitely not professionals and still have a lot to learn about making "artsy" pictures but it's been fun to learn and practice on our kids. Here are a few that we took for Genevieve's 9 month picture (which is the one that will hang in our house for forever; we count 9 months as a baby picture) Yes, she's wearing 3 different bows, we lost the first one on our trip to San Antonio, then wanted a second shot at the blue wall so we got a different bow, though I like the flower a lot too.

Isn't she cute!?! We love her so much!

July and August

For the 4th of July, we went to Dallas to be with my brothers and their families. We went to a jump place and had so much fun! I think we'll go again the next time we're there.

He didn't have a problem going down the huge slides, as long as he went backwards!

In n' Out - much better this time than our previous attempts.

We bought a van!

Everyone obviously loves it!

We drove up to Utah and Idaho. Look who we spotted along the way! Eli was in love!

The beautiful bride and the BEST roommate a girl could ask for!

We walked around Temple Square. It was so beautiful and such an awesome experience to take my children there for the first time.

Our friend, Josh, moved up to Provo so we were so happy to be able to show him some of our favorite parts of Utah. It really is a beautiful state with SO MUCH to do!

After gorging ourselves at Tuccanos, we worked off some of that meat by playing in little fountain.

Eli LOVED it and Josh was the greatest big friend that he could ask for!

This is Eli and Genevieve's newest cousin, Vincent. He was such a sweet baby and it was so fun to be able to hold him and kiss him! We're so happy that he's part of our family!

We drove up to Idaho to visit with Devin's family. This is Eli and Genevieve's great-grandma.

Image
We went to the zoo in Idaho Falls. This is Katherine, Devin's sister, doing what she does best! And that's Devin's brother, Brad, his kids and the other pretty lady is Brad's wife, Summer. We were SO happy that everyone made the trek to Rexburg to be with us for a few days!

Eli hates animals.

I could be a Golden Eagle.

His picture is much cuter than mine!

We went camping. Genevieve and I stayed until late in the evening then drove back to sleep in a real bed.

Back at home in her jumparoo. She loved it for about 3 days and then realized that I would put her in there to be entertained so I could do something else. When she figured that out, she stopped liking it so much. But it was AWESOME for those few days!

School has started again. Devin got a full-time job and is also going to school full time. He's gone from 7am to 5,6,7,or 8 - depending on the day. We're so grateful to have money (finally) but we sure miss seeing Devin all the time. We're happy to be home and back into a "normal" schedule but are so looking forward to the next time we get to be with our family and friends.

Eli is in the process of being potty trained. We are just about there except he doesn't like to go poo in the toilet. Someday I hope he figures it out cause I'm tired of changing his poop... enough is enough! But he's such a good boy, learning a lot and being so sweet with Genevieve. We love having him around!

Genevieve is 9 months old. She's crawling everywhere, pulling herself up onto everything and starting to cruise along furniture. I think she'll be walking before her first birthday but if she doesn't, whatever. She's so happy and such a good baby. It's so fun having a little baby girl roaming the house.

I'm busy with church and community things. I'm the leader of our bookclub, leader of our playgroup, in the Lubbock Chorale, and just got called to be our Stake Girls Camp Director. It's a HUGE calling and responsibility but I'm really excited about it. I've been to camp the last 2 years and am grateful that I at least know what is "supposed" to happen... now if only I can make it happen!

So things are going well in the DuPree home!
