Family New Year Party

Well last night we had a family New Year party at my sisters neighborhood church. It was great becuase we had pot luck dinner. Our family is full of cooking experts and we are somewhat "foodies". So we ate we talked and saw all the little ones getting a year bigger. Good times, good food, ok people. Not a bad way to spend the evening. My mother is a saint.

My Home Businesses

Online marketing is one of the most tedious projects I have ever done. I think if I could get locked up in a small room with good food and music, I could actually be a programmer. That could last for maybe three weeks at which time, I would need a padded room or the number for the suicide hot line. Anyway I am working on some cool sites that promote programs to make money on-line. Yes I sell the program as well as do it too. No, it's not multilevel marketing. It's tedious research, writing, studying, analyzing work. It's not for everybody, but it is inexpensive to start and is working from home or wherever you have a secure ISP. The basic jest of what it is I do is this: MSI. Multiple Sources of Income.

Working independently also gives you the luxury of running errands and shopping during the down times of business. Like getting an appointment Tuesday morning is a piece of cake. Wow! What a weekend!

When you have an event go wonderful it's hard to remember how much work it was to put it together, then quickly you are reminded how much more work it is to break it down. Wait a year and you get more "great" ideas thus creating work-force scale tasks, with no workforce other than upper left, right and lower left and right appendages with a few finger and toe helpers. The rewards always outnumber the labor and it's always worth it. When you work with a creative genius like Lauri it helps too.

We had an art fair/show/market/bizarre with about 35 artists. Ranging from mixed media to paintings to photography to craft-art to fine sculptures, pottery, glasswork, jewelry and a "Fiddle Preacher"! We had over a thousand people come by in 14 hour period and our grass shows it, it reminds me of the day after the carnival at Bountiful City park when I was a tot.

I will have some video clips of the event linked to the right on this page soon. The weather was glorious and so were the artists, customers, performers and looky-loo neighbors who just couldn't figure out what the shizzle we were up to. All in all, I can't wait til next year!

It's about time!

Well its about time I updated this blog. NO promises, but I am going to try! In December 2008, my career in the call center business came to a screeching halt due to extremely boring circumstances that you wouldn't care about and I have no desire to saw sawdust! This has been a whale of a year so far, and it has given me a chance to re-invent myself. And that is what is going on. Edison found hundreds of ways that a lightbulb wouldn't work. But he found one way that it did. His invention is timeless. I am on the path to the one that works for me and that is just exciting.
