He wasn't quite sure what to think.

Ahhh! Get me outta here! ha ha.

We won't be trying that again.

15 Months Old!!

This post is a little late as usual but our little guy is now 15 months old!

He is so big now that he can brush his teeth all by himself! And he loves it!

He does a pretty good job, but I still step in to help him. Just a little.

So, on with the usual monthly highlights!

He has gotten closer to walking, but still refuses :) I think he figures he gets around just fine, so why do I need to walk? However, I am open to any and all suggestions and stories about how your kid refused to walk and magically started one day before he was 2. ha ha

He now says, baby, mama, da (dad), B (bird), ni ni (night night) wasat (What's That?), bye bye. We THINK he has said love you (3 times but not enough to know if he is for sure saying it) and grandma (a-ma). He mimics all sorts of sounds so I don't think it will be long before he is saying all sorts of things.

He jabbers ALL the time. Its so cute!

As I said earlier, he says "wasat?" to almost everything. I love it.

He has started sticking his tongue out and spitting with it. haha

He thinks its pretty funny to have socks on his hands. Socks on his feet, nah, he pulls them right off.

He prefers to chew his food half way, spit it out into his hand, and then chuck it. I sure hope this doesn't last long!

Along with the above, he is getting pickier with eating. He will take one bite of something just fine but if you give him another, no way. He also prefers to feed the majority of his food to our dog kai. He usually eats better during the day then at night.

STILL in size 3 diapers. I tried a 4 on him because it was the overnight kind, and it was gapping around his legs. ha ha.

He is also still in size 3 shoes.

If you ask him where any body part is, he grabs his toes regardless. We are working on this.....

He gets so excited when you ask him if he wants to get in the tub!

He LOVES blankets. He doesn't have one particular one that he is attached to but will snuggle and cuddle with just about any blanket.

He knows that cell phones have touch screens and likes to run his pointer finger around on it like he is doing something. How do they figure these things out?

He is back to sleeping about 10-11 hours at night. Heavenly!

He is very good at helping me get him dressed. He knows just where his arms are supposed to go and when to put them in the sleeves. So little, but it makes me smile. :)

Lately I call him Monkey and especially Monkey Pants...not sure why.

15 months old?! It just madness I tell you. Love you Deegy Weegy! :)

Lately.....

Man, I suck at blogging lately. Its not because I don't want, I just can't seem to find the time lately. Anyways, here is a little catch up on what we have been up to lately.

Happy Valentine's Day! Deegan was not cooperating in the Valentine's picture taking so I didn't get very good ones, but that's okay. His cute jacket is from Grandma Sanders. I forgot about it and went to find him something red and festive and was happy when I found it!



He was more interested in the mouse than getting his picture taken.



Ha ha. I love this face!

Me and Deegan went to dinner with my family to celebrate since Eric was working in Idaho. But the best part of our day was when Eric got off "early" (6:30pm) and drove all the way home just to spend a couple of hours with us, go to bed and get up at 3 to head back to work! It meant so much to me!

All you mother's out there know that when they are quiet, it is never good. Well such was the case the other night. I found him with his wipes pretty much half emptied onto the floor. ha ha. Thank goodness for ziploc bags. :)

Deegan LOVES my parents bird. Almost instantly when we get there he starts saying "B, B, B". This is not a very friendly bird but he doesn't care at all.

He reaches right out for him and has even been bit by the bird and it didn't even phase him. Silly kid. At least someone like that bird. :)

A couple of little food beggars. You can see which one wins. Kai still got some love though.

We went to Texas Roadhouse to celebrate my sister's birthday and she was a great sport to get on saddle, 7+ months pregnant!, to get sung to.

We have started a new little tradition of going to breakfast at Angies each Saturday that we are able. It has been a lot of fun and very yummy! For those not from around here, Angies is a very yummy diner type place here in the valley. "Its where the locals eat!" :)

So there you have it! We haven't been up to much but we have still been having fun!

Mornings and Evenings

Here is a little glimpse into what our mornings and evenings are like.

Usually Deegan wakes up shortly after I do. I get him up, get his bottle and lay him on my pillow to drink it while I start getting ready.

He lays right outside the bathroom door so we can see each other and talk to each other. (Can you tell by his face that he barely woke up :)

As soon as he is finished with his bottle, he is raring and ready to go!

See? He thinks he is so neat that he can get into all 3 lower drawers. Mom doesn't think it is quite as neat! My previous, somewhat organized drawers are no longer! For the most part, everything from these drawers and even some items from the cupboard, are all in the bottom drawer. At least everything is all in one place, right?

This is nothing! My bathroom floor is usually covered with the contents of the drawers and cupboards. But it keeps him happy and entertained while I get ready for the day.
Then we get him changed, bundled up, and loaded into the car to head to work and the babysitters. One day we will just stay home and be able to enjoy our mornings together there! We really do have a lot of fun in the mornings. He is usually so happy and talkative and full of energy. I love it!

Some mornings, he wakes up before my alarm. Boo! We don't like these mornings. The nice thing about them is we get up, get his bottle and crawl back into bed to snuggle for a bit while he drinks his bottle. One morning this week, he totally zonked back out after his bottle.

Totally out! It was SO hard to get out of bed that morning. I wanted nothing more than to zonk out with him and snuggle that sweet boy!

He looks so little in that big bed all alone. I had to wake him up so we wouldn't be late.

About a week ago, I decided that I was going to do things differently at night. Instead of rushing to get everything done, and missing out on quality time with Deegan, I decided that I would spend all my time with him until he went to bed. It has been wonderful!!

We play "How big is Deegan?" (which he has gotten lazy at and only puts up one hand now.....)

We get a little crazy! This face is hilarious to me. Funny lookin but still so cute! He loves to rock the ottoman in his room and got a little outta control this time.

He got a set of megablocks for Christmas and I put them away for a while. This night he seemed bored so I got them out. He loves them! He takes them out of the box and puts them back in. He like me to build a few together and he will take it apart. We are working in him putting them together and I know it won't be long. He grasps the concept, just needs a little more coordination.

We spend a lot of time in his room. I love his room! We just hang out and play with toys and have so much fun. My nights are so much better now. (Do you notice the loos diapers all over? Yeah, he likes to pull them out of the diaper holder. :)

Then we make sure he has a full tummy before bed.


And he makes sure Kai is full too! He throws so much food to her, its ridiculous.

I just love this little guy so much! He is such a blast to be around and has the most playful, happy, fun personality! Love you goober! Hugs, kisses and eskimo kisses!

Happy Birthday Suzy!

Yesterday was Suzy's (Eric's mom) birthday and so we all got together tonight for her party. Everyone except Eric was able to be there. Dang working out of state! Anyways, we had a great time!

Now I am not going to announce how young she is, but, um, look at all those candles!!!! :) Randi got them all on there! She blew all of them out but one stubborn candle in one breath. I think she will still get her wish though!

Yay!! Happy Birthday Suzy!
