Grandma Norman

Eric's Grandma Norman passed away in January. It was very sad but she was more then ready to go. Her husband had passed away 8 years before. I can't imagine living that long without Eric! She was an amazing woman and I am glad that I got to know her and especially that Deegan got to meet her. She has many grandkids and great grandkids and they all have nothing but great things to say about her!

It was a cold day but a beautiful day and a beautiful ceremony. She is a very loved and missed lady.

Deegans Turn

It's time for Deegan to have his own post. I have tons more to post about Griffin but I wanted to give Deegan his turn and write down a few more things about him! Most of these pics were before Griffin was born.

He loves to color!

He has been sleeping in his big boy bed for a while now. We started him in it and then he went back to his crib for bit because we had a friend stay with us for a while. He is now entirely in his twin bed and doing great! For the first while he had to have Eric lay by him until he fell asleep. We can now tuck him in and get him all situated (with his Scout, Elmo, Zoey, 2 "blue" blankets, 2 fleece blankets from his grandmas, and his dog. Its quite the process! ) and he will go to bed by himself. We sometimes have to stay right outside his door but not too often! He naps really well in it too and just overall loves his bed!

Just after a hair cut!

He got this shopping cart for Christmas and loves to push it around and puts random things in it. I love to see him come walking into our room pushing it. :)

A few more......

*He has started saying "Hmmm....." and will put his finger on the corner of his mouth. ha ha. No idea where this came from.
*Counts to 13 now and counts to 10 in Spanish
*Knows several shapes: Star, Moon, triangle, square, circle, hexagon. Thank you Monkey Preschool App!
*He can also do matching games. He has a great memory!
*Calls his grandmas "Mama Holly" and "Mama Suzy"
*LOVES his baby brother! It makes me so happy. He is always saying "Cute Baby", "Cool Baby", "Its okay baby", "Hi baby". He asks to hold him and loves to kiss him and give him eskimo kisses.
*Favorite show is Bubble Guppies. He still likes Dora and a little Diego but Bubble Guppies is by far his favorite. Unfortunately he has somewhat outgrown Price is Right. :(
*Loves to help clean. He got a toy Dyson for Christmas and will get it out whenever I am vacuuming or sweeping and clean right along with me. So cute!
*Likes to watch Supercross with daddy. Loves Motorcycles!
*Loves to ride his bike or walk to the post office to get the mail. If we are out side and you are not careful, he will start booking it down the block to get the mail.
*Eric got us an Ipad after I had Griffin and Deegan loves it. It amazes me how he knows how to use it and how much he has learned from it. His fav apps are PBS Kids, Monkey Preschool Lunchbox, Angry Birds, NickJr's A-Z.
*He is very independent and strong willed. He knows what he wants and will fight until he gets it. ha ha.
*He loves yogurt, berries, grapes, hot dogs, waffles, fruit snacks, ice, pizza, roni (macaroni), and golf fish.
*He asks me periodically throughout the day if I am happy. :)
*Anytime you have left and come back or when Eric gets home he always ask if you had a good day. Such a sweetheart!
*Sings his ABC's pretty well. We are still working on perfecting them but he does pretty good for just starting. He does miss a few letters.

I'm sure I will think of more things but for now there is a good update on big brother Deegan! We sure love this sweet boy!
