After almost four years as Primary Secretary in our ward, I was released from my calling a few weeks ago. :(
It's been a bitter-sweet feeling to know that that chapter has closed. Mostly because it's been nice to watch Mads and Korb gain a testimony of their own. I'm lucky to have had that opportunity.
My girlfriends...April, Ammo, Amanda and I have become really close friends while serving together in the Presidency. We were friends before but have become even better friends thru serving together. Reflecting and looking back it just amazes me how much I've learned about myself and them. Such talented women! We definitely had have some challenges thrown our way a few times, have laughed a lot, have had many 'late' night meetings (by late I mean arriving home after midnight, mostly because we would visit for more than half of our time), have had dinner/birthday/brunch/just because dates, have shared testimonies, have gone on dessert-runs, have shared sharing times, have cried!, have attended all sorts of trainings, have received compliments, have pulled wallpaper together, have attended baptisms together, have been a part of making memories in Primary, have watched our own children grow in Primary and with all 4 of our cell phones have accumulated thousands of minutes talking to each other! I love my 'Primary' girlfriends! Even though we have been released, we have already kicked off a new tradition of dinner every 3 months!
I have a new calling already and it has been such a testimony builder because of three good friends. I'm thankful for them. One for being such a good example of what I want to be as I fulfill my new calling and two for being in tune with the spirit and listening. I have some big shoes to fill and hope I can continue to teach the values the girls in Young Women need. I'm nervous, excited, surprised, humbled and ready to begin a new chapter. Korbin will be in YM in a few weeks and Mads will come into Beehives with me in 2 years. By then I should know what I'm doing right!?!

Basketball/Jr. High
Korbin's last game of the season was today. The coach for this team was hilarious, he never could remember any of their names. The assistant coach was awesome though. Korbin's friend Logan's dad really made the different in the boys enjoying playing this year. Today was the first time Korbin really got into the game and played his hardest. He even fouled someone (I did a happy dance inside.) I'm rather bummed it all ended today, I wanted to see a few more games from player #14.
At the beginning of the season Jason made a deal with Korbin as an incentive to get him motivated. For any baskets, fouls, or steals he would get $5. He's only gotten $5 out of Jason until today. Today he got $10 out of Jason!
Most of the kids on his team are kids he goes to school with which made playing basketball extra fun!
On a side note Korbin is now registered for jr. high. Yup,

Thanksgiving in Arizona
For Thanksgiving we went to Arizona to visit The Wayment's. The Wayment's were very hospitable. They had 12 guests staying in their beautiful home. Jason's dad with his family, Grandma and Grandpa E along with Jimmy and our family.
Madison and Emery bonded immediately and wore matching clothes for most of our stay. If we lived closer to each other these two girls would spend a lot of time together. All the cousins had a great time playing and hanging out with each other.
The weather stayed in the 80's during our trip. The kids swam and swam in the pool. They had a blast diving and jumping off the rocks! Jason and I had a friendly putting game on Brad and Cooper's putting green. Even with Cooper's hints and tips I lost and owed Jason a 5 minute back rub. Grrr!
On Friday, Brad was able to get tickets to a Suns game. All the boys went and had a great time together. They had great seats and the Suns won! The girls (along with Kyler) went shopping and out to dinner. California Pizza Kitchen is always good!
My favorite memory of our trip was going on afternoon walks as a family and picking oranges! The oranges and grapefruits weren't quite ready but we searched and searched until we found enough ripe oranges to fill a couple of bags for the journey home.
After leaving Synda's on Saturday we drove to the Grand Canyon. The kids and Jason were impressed from the beginning, I on the other hand had to warm up to it. I quickly had a change of heart within 20 minutes of our arrival. Sunset at the Grand Canyon amazed me. It was beautiful! I'm so glad we were able to be there for it. Afterwards we drove to
