Finally!!
Ed went to leave for work at 6:15 am today and came back in telling me the plasterers were here! Within 15 min we had 13 men working on plastering the pool! They have now finished and the pool and spa are filling with water! YEA!
Organizing..
While we wait for the pool to be completed, we cleaned the area around the peach tree, cleaned out the pool toy box, put together the new box we had purchased and stored and filled it up. So exciting to be getting organized and ready...

May 22 and still not done!
A week overdue and still no sign of the plasterers, boo!! The first coat of finish has been put on the slide, and some preliminary preparation has been done before plastering happens, but wind has pushed everything back again.
Keep your fingers crossed, plastering co. said they have us scheduled for tomorrow, we'll see!

Painting done..
The painting is done, all that's left is putting the finish on the slide, and that should be done today or tomorrow. The plastering contractor will be out tomorrow to give me a quote on redoing the cool decking and check out to see when he can plaster the pool. Hoping to meet our goal of being done by Memorial Day!
The above picture is a shot of the whole pool with the structures and coping painted.

Almost done..
All that's left is the painting of the rock structures, a few little changes we've requested and the plastering. We're getting there!
I took this view (above) to show the stone coping around the pool perimeter.
A close up of the spa and waterfall. (pictures above and below) In the picture below you can also see the steps leading up the slide. There is a little more work to do at the bottom of the steps.

Lots of work..
was done today. We've had four or five days of no work, but today quite a bit was accomplished.
They covered the wet concrete with foil, Ed thinks they use it to impress the wrinkle lines and folds into the concrete to add to the "rock look". Since the wind began blowing again they had quite the time keeping the foil in place!
They are using that large box to mix concrete in. Here you can see the guy who is creating the "stone" coping on the side of the pool.
This is the contractor using small hand tools to create the "stone" look in the concrete. He's molding, scultpting, and brushing. Quite the artist!
The spa, waterfall and slide at the end of the day. Pretty cool!
Another shot of the coping at the end of the day.
The waterfall at the end of the day.
A complete picture of the work finished today. Progress!!
