Other Programs
Studio E
Studio E is a free, therapeutic art program that helps children, teens, and adults with epilepsy express their emotions, reduce isolation, and build self-esteem. Held in partnership with local art studios like Orange Easel, these monthly sessions use painting, sketching, and sculpting to help participants connect with others and process the daily challenges of living with epilepsy.
If interested in attending, please contact Bridgit Patterson at bpatterson@efmk.org
ART4Epilepsy
ART4Epilepsy was founded in memory of three artists from one family — Steve, Janet, and Eric Scherrer — whose lives were deeply affected by epilepsy. ART4Epilepsy offers free, inclusive art experiences for children, teens, adults, and caregivers impacted by epilepsy. Projects include community art classes and workshops, an ongoing art-bag donation program for epilepsy patients at various area hospitals, and an annual Family Day celebration held in honor of Eric’s birthday. These programs create opportunities for self-expression, connection, and support while raising awareness about epilepsy.
ART4Epilepsy is officially partnering with EFMK on an ongoing basis. For more information, contact epilepsy@efmk.org
Teen and Young Adult Board
The Teen and Young Adult Board gives teens and young adults with epilepsy a space where they can learn about various topics related to epilepsy, build new friendships in an accepting community, and volunteer at EFMK events.
