C and her socks

This kid is weird. She has taken a liking to having socks on her hands. I have no idea where this came from.
Yup. She was even eating with socks on her hands. Awesome.
I think it takes me about 2.5 hrs. to get these 3 girls ready to get out the door. One day I was finally ready and I went to pick C up and she had taken her shoes and socks off and put the socks on her hands. When I looked at her just a TAD bit irritated, she just pointed at me and said Hi Mommy:)
It doesn't have to be her socks. It can be daddy's socks too. I DID make her take those off though before she ate.
No clothes. Yes socks on hands.
I have now hidden all her socks.

soccer

S just finished up soccer. E was so excited for her little soccer season. He bought a net, a couple soccer balls, new shoes, socks, everything she needed plus some. She loved it at first.. wouldn't take off her uniform until she was going to bed. She told everyone she knew that she was in soccer.
The games were lots of fun.. Even though she was, ummm, lets say, soccer challenged:) She just kind of pranced behind the rest of the team. She was not aggressive at all:) She said that she didn't like trying to take the ball away from other girls. It was actually quite funny to watch.

I was hoping so bad that she would at least get one goal.. but it just didn't happen... I think we will stick with dance for a little while:) She did like getting a trophy though:)

duck babies

the girls found a duck nest last month on the side of our yard. they were so excited and had to go check on it many times a day to see if they were ok and if they had hatched yet.

Memorial weekend they went to show their cousins the nest and this is what they saw!

They stayed in our yard for a couple of days. The girls loved holding them, even tho it made the mom a little crazy.

We see them now hanging out at the pond across the street...

E had to go out of town for a dental conference... so my beautiful sis and her 2 girls came to visit. we had so much fun!

Thanksgiving Point the first day. We go almost every week and my girls still get so excited to ride the ponies.

We had a Tea Party Sat. morning.. They had to get all pretty:)





Lots of ice cream was consumed this weekend.
even our dog is a girl:)

lame

ok, so it's been a whole year since i updated the family blog. am i lame or what? or maybe just busy.. anyway, i'm going to start it up again. my friend showed me her book the other day that she made from her blog. it was so cool and so that's why i'm going to be better with this blog. so i can make a book:)

this poor little blog gets neglected. i will try to do better:) a couple of weekends ago we went up to the mountains for a weekend. well, actually it was only for one night. it was great fun. can i say how much i LOVE where we live. i LOVE seasons. all of them. anyways, here a just a few pics from our little adventure. it was fun although it took us 3 days to recover from a 1 day vacation:)
